Professional & Financial Data: Employment details and income information required explicitly for MTN's contract vetting and credit evaluation procedures.
Delivery Information: Full residential or business addresses to ensure your activated SIM card reaches you securely and in accordance with FICA standards.

This information is gathered directly from you via our secure digital application platform and is processed strictly in accordance with South African privacy standards and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

We utilize the personal information collected primarily to facilitate your seamless transition to a reliable MTN contract. This process involves sharing necessary details for mandatory credit vetting and security clearance, managing your application through our secure partner channels, and coordinating the logistics for the physical delivery and activation of your new SIM card. Our data usage is strictly focused on verification, logistics, and providing the dedicated support needed to manage your 24-month contract, ensuring all operations remain fully transparent and compliant with POPIA and other relevant South African data protection legislation.

Third-Party Sharing

To fulfill your mobile contract and ensure the secure delivery of your SIM card, CHTR Mobile shares necessary personal information exclusively with MTN South Africa and our vetted logistical partners. In accordance with South African privacy laws and POPIA, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to external marketers or unauthorized third parties under any circumstances. All data sharing is conducted strictly for the purpose of service fulfillment and account activation.
